UFC strikes deal Down Under with Tabcorp
The Ultimate Fighting Championship has thrashed out a deal with Australian betting company Tabcorp.
The multi-year agreement with Dana White’s mixed martial arts federation will see TAB.com.au serve as the official betting and wagering partner of the UFC in Australia.
Furthermore, Tabcorp will become the official presenting sponsor for all UFC live events Down Under. TAB.com.au logos will appear on each fighter’s ring wear, while Tabcorp branding will feature on the UFC’s digital and social media platforms.
Under the multi-year deal, TAB.com.au will serve as the official betting and wagering partner of the UFC in Australia, while the operator will also become the presenting sponsor for all UFC live events in the country.
All UFC athletes will feature a TAB.com.au logo on their fight kit, while the firm will also benefit from branding on UFC’s digital and social media platforms.
“We are delighted to be in business with TAB.com,” said Tom White, UFC executive vice-president and general manager for Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
“We look forward to working with them as we grow our sport not only in Australia, but around the world.”
Craig Nugent, chief operating officer wagering and media at Tabcorp, shared White’s enthusiasm for the new partnership, adding that, “TAB.com.au is proud to be the first Australian-owned and operated UFC partner.
“This partnership reflects UFC’s growing popularity among our customers.”
The first event of the UFC-Tabcorp era will be the UFC Fight Night: Rockhold vs. Jacare 2 on 26th November at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena.
