The ASA received a single complaint about the advert, which was first broadcast in January and is by DKLW Lowe, stating that using an attractive model in the ad linked gambling to seduction which is forbidden by UK advertising rules. A new survey has revealed that only one fifth of adult Brits believe online gaming brands advertise to the right audience whilst over 75% think they are badly marketed. The ‘Betting on Digital’ report was released this week by digital marketing company Ignition One and ComRes. Over 2000 UK adults were surveyed, 604 of whom were active or previously active online gamblers. Only 21% of participants agreed with the statement that online gaming adverts target the correct audience, with 51% disagreeing and 21% unsure.
