Playtech’s COO Shay Segev becomes new retail boss
The online gaming software and solutions provider Playtech has made their chief operating officer Shay Segev CEO of the company’s retail branch.
The online gaming giant’s retail arm relies on its subsidiary Videobet, whose technology can be found in betting shops such as Ladbrokes and Coral around the UK.
A new digital gaming experience
Mr Segev will become the CEO of Playtech’s retail branch.
Playtech claims that its retail division’s goal is to create a unified experience between traditional gaming such as bookmakers, sports betting, lottery products, and online gaming.
The retail technology offered by Playtech includes a new generation casino floor management system which will soon be implemented in all Genting UK sites in 2014.
Intelligent gaming “ecosystem”
According to the company Sergev’s appointment furthers their “commitment to innovation, allowing bricks and mortar gaming businesses to connect to the digital mobile world”.
After joining the company in 2006 as COO of Videobet, six years later Sergev took the same role at Playtech.
“I am delighted to lead Playtech’s retail arm through its next strategic phase of combining our retail and online offering. The forthcoming years promise to be of great strategic and operational importance, as we embark on many initiatives to create a full turnkey solution that will allow retail businesses to transition into the digital world. Through our technology and the acquisition of intelligent gaming, we will enable our clients to enjoy a single ecosystem that will help them to maximise business performance across their entire offering.”
