Paddy Power launches ‘Basic Instinct’ online slot
The leading Irish bookmakers Paddy Power have added an online slot based on the infamous movie ‘Basic Instinct’ to their gaming portfolio.
This new online slot has been created by the UK-based flash and mobile games creator iSoftBet. The slot features 243 pay lines, and a progressive jackpot. There are also three stacked wild symbols, and a bonus round. In the bonus round players get to select from a dozen mystery boxes, all of which contain hidden cash amounts.
Players can keep choosing until they undercover a pair of handcuffs at which point the round ends. If they undercover a gun, then they are awarded the ‘Killer’ progressive jackpot.
The movie Basic Instinct was released in 1992 and became instantly notorious. A super steamy thriller, the film starred Michael Douglas as a police detective and Sharon Stone as a crime novelist suspected of killing her rock star boyfriend with an ice pick.
Steamy Sharon about to reveal if you’re a winner …
The film’s most notorious scene showed Stone being interviewed by a selection of hot-under-the-collar policemen. At one point Stone crosses her legs and it is revealed that she had decided to go commando for the day. This scene has been parodied countless times, including in The Simpsons where the interviewee was the gruff Scottish school groundskeeper Willie, and in the movie Loaded Weapon in which at ‘the moment of reveal’ a Sharon Stone lookalike is replaced by a stuffed beaver.
“We are excited to see Basic Instinct go live on such a prestigious operator,” said iSoftBet’s sales and business development manager, Luci Apostolou. “Our relationship with Paddy Power has gone from strength to strength, and this launch is truly one to be celebrated.”
Paddy Power spokeman Conor Leavey said “The marketing potential for such a powerful brand as Basic Instinct is a force to be reckoned with, and Paddy Power will certainly make the most of this opportunity.”
Basic Instinct is available to play at Paddy Power’s Casino as of now.
