Ben Affleck’s blackjack ban – Caught card counting!

A Las Vegas casino has banned Batman actor Ben Affleck for life after security allegedly caught him counting cards during a game of blackjack.

We’ve all heard of celebrities banned from casinos. This particular case focuses on Affleck, 41, was playing at the Hard Rock Casino’s high rollers table on Tuesday when the incident is alleged to have happened shortly after 10pm. Having discovered the player using the gambling strategy, Hard Rock administrators allegedly banned the star from playing blackjack at the venue for life, although the ban does not extend to the adjoining hotel.

Card counting, although not strictly illegal, is a frowned upon method to gain an advantage in predicting the next hand and casinos can decide at their own discretion how to deal with an offence. The casino issued a Vegas wide alert at the time, reporting that the Oscar winning Hollywood director “uses perfect basic”, an industry reference meaning to count the cards.

This is not the first time Affleck has been suspected of using the method to gain an advantage after being warned in April of a similar offence. Affleck was believed to be enjoying a short break in Vegas with his wife actress Jennifer Garner before filming is due to start on his new role as Batman.

A report in The Daily Mail quotes a Hard Rock insider claiming that the hotel staff were polite to the star saying that security joked “You are too good at the game.” Before adding; “The hotel was really nice about it and told him he could play other games. They ended up getting him and Jennifer a car back to their hotel too.” A hotel statement on Friday read; “Mr. Affleck, a valued guest of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, is not banned from our property and is welcome back any time”. Just last year the star appeared in the crime thriller Runner Runner in which he played an online gambling tycoon.

Ben Affleck allegedly barred from yet ANOTHER casino for being too good

It seems that Batman V Superman actor Ben Affleck has been kicked out of yet another casino – and his marriage is feeling the strain.

Affleck, 41, has been filming on location in Detroit for the hotly anticipated Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and according to RadarOnline has been making the most of the local casino scene, much to the annoyance of his actress wife Jennifer Garner.

As seen above, Affleck was previously barred for life from Hard Rock Casino in Las Vegas for allegedly counting cards during a game of blackjack.

Don’t mock the Afflecked

It seems that Ben is struggling to let go of old habits. On 31 May, he was kicked out of Caesars Windsor Hotel and Casino in Detroit.

According to an eyewitness speaking to Star Magazine, Affleck made straight for the card tables and looked “a mess.” It seems Affleck’s reputation is doing him no favours as he lasted less than half an hour in the casino before being thrown out. “He sat down and played for roughly 20 minutes before security heard he was there”, the source explained, “They made the dealers stop what they were doing and asked him to leave. Ben seemed pretty mad.”

Jennifer Garner, Affleck’s wife of nine years, has supposedly cancelled her family’s summer trip to Detroit to visit her husband following his latest indiscretions.
