Weekend in Vegas Slot
A 'Weekend in Vegas' is both a very cool vacation idea, and a '3D' style online slots game from Betsoft. The game has 5 reels and the maximum of 243 paylines, and has the unique feature in that the three main character symbols are each three rows high. It features three characters – the non-very-PC-named Loony Larry (who looks like Zach Galifianakis), Cautious Chris (who looks like Ed Helms) and Balanced Ben (who looks like Bradley Cooper). There's a definitely movie connection suggested here, but we can't quite put our fingers on it … if only we weren't all currently suffering from hangovers here at RightCasino.com.
The game has a lot of visual charm, and the three characters stand by the reels and take an occasional interest in how you are doing. They also become animated whenever who enjoy a character win, although Balanced Ben does look a bit creepy when you win with his character. You can choose your coin size from 0.02 to 1.00, and your 'bet level' from one to five. Your final wager is always your coin size multiplied by your bet level, multiplied by 25. All 243 possible paylines remain in play at all times. When you're ready to hit the Vegas strip, hit the 'Spin' button.
Payout & bonus rounds
Your Vegas payouts start at 2x for three tens or jacks. The jackpot is attained by landing five pairs of pole-dancer's legs (so, ten in total), which wins you 300x.
The 'Fabulous Las Vegas' sign acts as the wild symbol in this slot and subs for all other symbols aside from the scatter. The wild only appears on reels two and four in normal play, but in free spins it can also appear on reels three and five.
The police car symbol is the scatter symbol. You only need to land two anywhere on the reels to win a prize, and landing three or more wins you free spins. Three of them wins eight free spins, four wins a dozen and five wins twenty. All wins during free spins are doubled.
Once your free spins are completed you earn one spin of the money reel. You'll either win a cash prize or another spin with the chance to win bigger prizes.
If you land three of the same character in full view on the reels, you earn entry into the bonus round. You also land a free re-spin if you land two or more of the same character symbol fully in view. You can select in which casino the guys are sent to play during the bonus round, and your chances of winning big or small or not at all depend upon how lucky you are.
Finally, all prizes you win on the slot can be gambled. It's all done via the flip of a coin, and you can 'double or quits' as many times as you want.
We have to admit we're a little disappointed by this slot, and we don't consider it up to many of Betsoft's brilliant titles. The animation is great and there's an authentic 'Las Vegas' look about it, but the gameplay is just a little lacking. You're quite welcome to try out this slot for spin or so, but remember – never gamble when drunk or hungover!
