Sun & Moon Slot
Sun & Moon is a 5-reel max 20-pay line slot from Aristocrat. It's a rendering of a real-world slot that is popular in Australia, although they refer to them as 'pokies'. The theme of this rather basic game is the Incas, who were a people who lived on the western coast of South America in the 1400s and 1500s. They worshipped 'Inti', whom was their sun god. Their leader was considered to be the son of Inti – the son of the sun, in fact. They were conquered by the Spaniards, dissolving as a people in 1572.
The characters used in this online slot are all Inca-related – aside perhaps from the playing card symbols ten through to ace. The symbols are split down the middle – red symbols for the sun, and blue symbols for the moon. You start each spin by selecting your coin size, which can be anything from 0.01 to 2.50. There are twenty lines available, and all are selectable. Your bet-per-line is your coin size multiplied by the number of lines you have in play. Wins are accrued by landing at least two identical symbols in sequence from the left hand reel on an active pay line. When you ready to risk Intu's wrath, then hit the spin button.
Payout & bonus rounds
The lowest winning pay out in this game is double your bet-per-line for any two god, talisman or ring symbols. The jackpot of 1,000x your line bet is for five sun or moon symbols.
The sun and moon symbols act both as wilds and scatter, which can be a little confusing. The sun substitutes for all other symbols aside from the moon symbol, and the moon substitutes for all other symbols aside from the sun symbol. You can win prizes if sun and moon symbols appear anywhere (in combination, and at least three in total), and if they appear mixed on an active pay line and there are at least three of them.
An 'Inca Temple' symbol appears occasionally, but on reel two only. When it appears, it will – for reasons known only to itself – turn into a random symbol. With a bit of luck this may trigger a win.
You win free spins if you land at least two sun or moon (the same or mixed) symbols at any position on the reels from the left-hand reel onwards, one per reel. You receive five free spins for two symbols, ten for three, twenty for four, and fifty for five. During free spins all prizes are doubled and free spins can be re-triggered.
All wins can be gambled – guess the colour of a playing card to double your prize or lose it if you are wrong.
Unfortunately, Sun & Moon now looks so ancient we think the Incas might have still been around when it was released. It's also a confusing game when the sun and moon symbols start appeaingr, as you don't know if they're going to be wilds, scatters or free spin bonus symbols. We suggest you play a few spins on this game before the sun sets on it forever.
