Star Trek Slot
The Star Trek online slot is a 5-reel, 30 pay line slot from Bally. As you might have guessed, this slot is based on the legendary TV and movie series that's been running in one form or another since the late 1960s. The theme of the game centres around the recent J. J. Abrams re-boot version, which starred Chris Pine as Captain James T. Kirk and Zachary Quinto as Mr Spock. In the 2009 hit, a young Kirk and his fledgling crew thwart a renegade band of time-twisting Romulans led by Eric Bana as Nero.
The playing card values ten to ace, along with Kirk, Spock, Simon Pegg as Scotty, Zoë Saldana as Uhura and Ben Cross as Sarek make up the reel symbols. To play the game, you select the number of lines you want in play from one to thirty, and your line bet from £1 to £50. Get spinning, and to win, you need to land at least three identical symbols in sequence from the left hand reel.
Payout & bonus rounds
Stellar payouts range from x5 your stake-per-line for three tens, jacks, queens or kings, to the top jackpot of x1,000 for five Captain Kirks (with his shirt torn off or not).
The 'Star Trek' symbol appears on the four right-hand reels and substitutes for all other symbols.
Each of the four crew members has a bonus game. Land two 'Enterprise' bonus symbols and a crew 'Bonus' to trigger the game:
Kirks' bonus: You are awarded a random number of spins from 3 to 6 with a x3 multiplier. You keep spinning until you win for each free spin.
Spock's bonus: Spock is 'emotionally compromised' (in Vulcan; in English, 'having a mardy'). Choose from a transporter to pick a number of free spins from 10 to 15. All Spock symbols are wild (like Spock) during free spins.
Uhura's bonus: You win 6 to 12 free spins with the Uhura symbol as a Scatter symbol.
Scotty's bonus: Five free spins with a x2 to x5 multiplier, then x4 to x10 for another five spins.
Star Trek is much more than a slots game to appease the Trekkie fanboys. There are four bonus games to aim for and plenty of inter-stellar fun to be had. Just a shame Chekov, Sulu and McCoy are missing. Never mind, this is still a game still worthy of being cranked up to Warp Factor 10!
