Shoot! is a 5-reel, max 50-line footie-themed online slot from Microgaming. This original 2013 release has had a bit of a polish and makeover just in time for the 2016 UEFA European Championship or, if you're based in the Americas, the 2016 CONMEBOL Copa América Centenario. We say a polish, but it's not too much of a polish as we noted in our original review that the 'colourised' version of the symbol for the Brazilian legend Pelé had him in a yellow Brazilian shirt with a blue collar and cuffs. Any football fan knows that Brazil shirts have green collars and cuffs. Schoolboy. The game is based on the legendary football magazine that was published between 1969 and 2008. It still exists today, but only online.
Pelé is only one of the legends whom can be found upon the reels of this soccertastic slots game. Also in the line up are Kevin Keegan (England), Franz Beckenbaur (West Germany – as was), Johann Cruyff (Netherlands), Diego Maradona (Argentina) and George Best (Northern Ireland). Bryan Robson (England) and Socrates (Brazil) also sneak in an appearance as a part of a bonus symbol. Completing the symbols are a football, a rattle and a pie.
There are fifty possible lines in total and you can select the number that you want in play. You can also select how many coins you want to gamble with for each spin, from one to twenty. The 'wild' symbol is the Shoot! logo combined with some famous footballing faces. This symbol substitutes for all other symbols aside from the scatter symbol.
If you land three or more bonus scatter symbols anywhere on the reels, you win through to the 'Trade 'em Bonus' game. Twelve football cards are revealed, and you must pick four of them to reveal hidden prizes. There are two 'second level' bonuses that can be found – the 'free spins' bonus and the 'magazine' bonus.
With the 'free spins' bonus you can win from between ten and thirty-five free spins. All free spins winnings are doubled. You cannot re-trigger free spins.
