MegaJackpots Siberian Storm Slot
MegaJackpots Siberian Storm is a 5-reel, 720-pay line online slot from IGT with a progressive jackpot. It's one of IGT's titles in their 'MegaJackpots' series – the others being Cleopatra and Monopoly. Siberian Storm began as a real-world IGT cabinet in 2010 before being re-created as an online slot a year later. It was also released on mobile in 2014.
All the slots in the 'MegaJackpots' range share the same progressive jackpot, and all the slots contribute towards it as well. The pertinent information is as follows:
- Re-seeds at: £500,000.
- Record win: £2,148,947.
- Average win: £1,155,932.
- Average time: 242 days.
All info correct at the time of writing. Since 2011 the MegaJackpot has been won nine times, and four times has been won for a total over £1 million.
The first thing you will notice about this slot is that the reels are arranged in a 3-4-5-4-3 pattern. All possible ways pay from left to right AND right to left, which gives a stunning total of 720 pay lines. All the symbols are 'tiger-related' in some way and some are quite visually impressive, including the two stars – an orange Bengal tiger and a white Siberian one.
You choose your coin size to start this game, from 0.01 to 1.00. Your bet size is automatically multiplied by 50 to cover all 720 possible pay lines. When you are ready to go 'tiger jackpot hunting' hit the spin button.
Payout & bonus rounds
Payouts commence at 5x your coin size for three blue, purple or green 'tiger teeth' jewels, and run to 1,000x for five 'Siberian Storm' logo symbols.
The 'Wild' symbol in this game substitutes for all other symbols aside from the scatter, and only appears on the central three reels.
The 'Mega Jackpots' symbol is the scatter symbol, and if you land at least two anywhere on the reels then you win a cash payout. Landing five wins you the MegaJackpots mega jackpot!
If you land a green tiger's eye on each of the reels then you win eight free spins. Each combination possible of five free spin symbols awards eight freebies, up to a maximum of 96! A brown tiger's eye does the same but without the extra combinations bonus. You can re-trigger free spins during your bonus, up to a limit of 240.
Despite the MegaJackpots prize and the '720 ways to win' this is quite a mundane game. Once the free spins have come around a few times, you really don't have a lot to play for, as there are no bonus games nor any extra features. The main attraction is of course the progressive jackpot which, if you do happen to be lucky enough to win it, will surely make you purr with pleasure!
