Cluedo Classic Slot
Cluedo Classic is a 5-reel, max 20-pay line online slot from IGT. It is of course based on everyone's favourite sleuthing detective game of the same name (or 'Clue' in the USA). The game name is derived from a portmanteau of the words 'Clue' and 'Ludo'. The clue aspect comes from the object of the game – to solve the mysterious murder of Dr Black. The 'Ludo' aspect comes from the fact that your sleuthing efforts are thwarted if you cannot throw big numbers on a pair of dice.
Nearly all the devious suspects are represented in this slots version of the game (the second slots game based on Cluedo from IGT) – Reverend Green, Professor Plum, Mrs White, Miss Scarlet and Colonel Mustard. Miss Peacock must have had a cast-iron alibi the day of this particular murder. All the murder weapons make an appearance, backed by an associated playing card symbol from nine to ace.
All twenty pay lines are selectable. You can choose your line bet from 0.01 to 10.00. Your final wager is these two values multiplied together. When you're ready to start making your accusations, hit the 'spin' button.
Payout & bonus rounds
Payouts commence at 2x your line bet for two nine/wrench symbols. The top payout is for five 'Cluedo logo' symbols which will win you 10,000x your bet-per-line.
The 'Cluedo' logo symbol also acts as the wild symbol in this game. It substitutes for all other symbols aside from the 'Bonus' symbol, and all wins that contain a wild symbol are doubled.
If you land three, four or five 'Mystery Bonus' symbols anywhere on the reels then you win for yourself fifteen free spins. During your freebies all wins that include a wild symbol are tripled, aside from the maximum jackpot win. You also win a cash prize for landing at least two 'Mystery Bonus' symbols.
Graphically, 'Classic Cluedo' looks very impressive, but the game is very, very tame. This is just an exceedlingly standard slot with wilds and scatters. The non-inclusion of some kind of bonus game based on Cluedo itself is a mystery that not even the most dedicated Cluedo sleuther would be able to solve. A game for Cluedo fans only, perhaps, but even that's being hopeful. On the brighter side, playing this game is not murder!
