Amazon Queen Slot
Amazon Queen is a 5-reel, max 20-pay line online slots game from WMS. It's a rendition of one of WMS's real world slots. As you might imagine, there's quite a 'rumble in the jungle' theme here, with plenty of Amazon-dwelling animals on show on the reels. We're not one hundred percent sure of the geographical accuracy of this slot though as tigers make an appearance. There ain't no tigers in the Amazon, oh Queen. We're okay with the gorillas, snakes and parrots though. The other symbols used are the playing card suits clubs, diamonds, hearts and spades, plus a kind of fig thing. The Amazon Queen herself makes an appearance, and judging by the way she stands she doesn't mind being the butt of the odd joke or two.
This game has the usual WMS slots interface. There are two ways of using it – the 'classic' way allows you to select the number of lines you want in play along with your bet-per-line from 0.01 to 3.00 in 0.01 increments. The 'quick bet' way means you select all twenty lines and you pay from 0.02 to 60.00 per spin using a sliding selector. Which one you use is entirely your own preference. You win cash payouts by landing at least three identical symbols in sequence from and including the left-hand reel. When you're ready to start your own rumble in the jungle, hit the spin button.
Payout & bonus rounds
Payout commence at 5x your bet-per-line for three clubs or diamonds, and rise up to 750x for five gorillas.
To give you extra chances of big payouts, you can win with gorilla symbols either left-to-right or right-to-left. The gorilla also sometimes appears as simply a head, and at other times as 'the complete gorilla' stacked three symbols high.
There are two wild symbols in this game. The first is a jungle scene, which acts as a 'normal' single wild symbol and substitutes for all other symbols. The second wild is the Amazon Queen herself. She is slightly larger than one symbol and expands over the symbols above and below her, which are always playing card symbols. If you land Queenie as part of a 'playing card winning combo' the win still counts. Both wilds only appear on the central three reels only.
The Amazon Queen is also a scatter symbol. If you land three of her in any position on any of the reels, she stamps her spear and awards you ten free spins. If she appears four times you get twenty-five freebies, and if she's there five times you are awarded an amazing 100 freebies. During your bonus spins all 'normal' wild symbols become stacked.
This game is a clone of another WMS slot – Kronos, which is a sequel to Zeus. It has some very nice features, but the gameplay is a little tame – even with the erroneous addition of a wild tiger or two. If you do think 'it's a jungle out there' though, then a visit to the throne of Amazon Queen may be a fruitful one for you!
