Wixstars Casino in a nutshell

Wixstars Casino is an online casino that’s owned by Brightnet, a company based in Bucharest in Romania. Having said that, the actual games on this site are powered by Aspire Global International, a white-label solution provider from Malta. Among Aspire Global’s customers are Karamba Casino and Hopa Casino. Wixstars operates via licences granted to it by the Malta Gaming Authority, and the UK Gambling Commission.

Wixstars makes some very bold claims on its landing page, claiming that is it a “brand new online casino that strives for excellence.” Well, we know a thing or two about excellent casinos, so we’ll be the judge of that! It’s very unusual to find a casino that operates out of Romania, so we’re expecting something a little Eastern Europe.

So, will Wixstars be full of stars in your opinion, or does it need to be sent back behind the gambling iron curtain? Read on to find out …

What’s the look and feel of Wixstars Casino?

The white label solution offered by Aspire Global International is not the most well-known in the business, but with more and more online casinos signing up with them, this situation is likely to change. It’s certainly an effective and easy-to-use design, and Wixstars Casino do seem to have made sufficient use of it with their own branding and artwork.

What games are available at Wixstars Casino?

Thanks to Aspire Global International, players at Wixstars have access to a sizeable number of gaming providers, including NetEnt, Amaya, NYX/NextGen Gaming and Microgaming. All the very best games from those providers are available here, including Thunderstruck II, Fruity Friends and Robin Hood: Shifting Riches when it comes to slots.

While the total number of slots is not an issue, the number of table games available here leaves a lot to be desired. There are only four versions of blackjack, five versions of roulette, three versions of video poker and one version of casino poker. The numbers are made up by a couple of ‘unique’ titles: Three-card solitaire and ‘Scratch N Roll’. Under the ‘classics’ tab you’ll find a few more games, including scratch cards and arcade keno.

The live casino here is powered by Evolution Gaming and has roulette, blackjack and baccarat.

As well as the software providers mentioned above, software is also provided here by Quickfire, Barcrest, Quickspin (part of Leander Games), WMS, Aristocrat, NeoGames, Bally and Cadillac Jack.

There’s a mobile-optimised version of the site which is practically identical to the desktop site, except arranged in a much more logical manner for smart phones and tablets. It works wonderfully well.

Support is available 8am to 1am (CET), and we found it to be above average.

What promotions are available at Wixstars Casino?

RightCasino.com readers can treat themselves to a free no-deposit bonus at Wixstars Casino – twenty bonus spins on Twin Spin, with winnings subject to x50 wagering. Just use the bonus code ’20twinspins’ when you sign up.

If you’re prepared to make deposits in each of your first three days at this casino, then you’re in for a ‘reel’ treat – a one hundred percent welcome bonus plus one hundred extra bonus spins.

You only actually need to make a one-time deposit if you want that welcome bonus, and you only have to make a deposit of £10 if you so desire. Whatever you deposit as your first deposit will be matched by the casino up to that limit of £200. You will also be given twenty free spins.

If you make a deposit of at least £20 on your second day as a member of Wixstars Casino, then you will be handed another forty free spins. If you then follow that up with a third deposit of at least £20 on your third day as a member of this casino, then guess what! You’ll be given another forty free spins to boost your free spins total up to a maximum of one hundred.

Each set of free spins you receive must be used within twenty-four hours else they will disappear from you account. The most you can win from this free spins offer is £100 – any money above that will not be paid to you when you make your withdrawal. You must also wager your winnings fifty times over before you can make a withdrawal.

Your bonus cash is also subject to wagering – but only thirty five times the bonus amount (not including the deposit). You have twenty-one days in which to meet wagering requirements before your bonus is removed from your account. Note that for ALL wagering, bets that are placed on video poker, roulette, baccarat, three-card poker, ‘Quick Play’ and ‘Hi Lo Fever’ do not contribute.

As the time of this review the welcome bonus/free spins deal was the only bonus that Wixstars Casino offered.

There’s a VIP scheme here simply called ‘VIP Club’. It is split over seven levels from ‘Bronze’ all the way up to ‘Prestige’ although the final two levels are by personal invitation only. Top level VIPs receive express cash outs and fifty free games every Sunday, but all members of this exclusive club receive extra special benefits.

There’s a lack of information about payment methods on Wixstars Casino – unless you sign up for an account. All we could glean is that Visa, Visa Debit, MasterCard, Maestro, Skrill, Neteller, Paysafecard and Entropay are accepted payment methods. Non-members of this casino don’t even has access to the site’s T&Cs, which is a bit of a no-no.

If you delve a little deeper and make a few clicks in the right places then you do become better educated. The FAQ section here (when you find it) is pretty good, so no idea why it’s difficult to find. First up, the site accepts Visa and MasterCard credit and debit cards. It also accepts a number of eWallets including Skrill (still referred to as ‘Moneybookers’ in the FAQs, which Skrill hasn’t been called since 2013), Neteller, Paysafecard, iDeal, GiroPay and POLi.

The minimum amount you can deposit is £10, and that goes for the minimum withdrawal too. You can deposit as much as you like, but you cannot withdraw more than £7,000 in any one calendar month.

Deposits are processed immediately, but withdrawals can take between three and ten days, depending on your chosen method. Note that not all deposit methods are available as withdrawal methods.

What are the pros & cons of Wixstars Casino?

Aisde from the out-of-date FAQ section, which is far from helpful, we here at RightCasino thought this casino was well worth a look. Check out our main pros and cons below:

  • Plenty of payment options
  • Games from NetEnt, Microgaming and others
  • Lucrative VIP scheme
  • Achievable bonus + 100 free spins
  • FAQs are significantly out of date

The final verdict

We have to admit, there is a great deal we like about Wixstars Casino, but there are a few ‘niggles’ that we definitely do not approve of. We’re wondering why the site’s FAQs do not seem to have been altered in a very long time, not even acknowledging Moneybookers’ 2013 name change to ‘Skrill’. We also wonder why the FAQs and T&Cs are not actually that easy to find – to non-members anyway.

On the positive side, the bonuses definitely meet with our approval, especially as they come with very reasonable wagering conditions, and we do like the wide range of payment options that this site provides. In short Wixstars Casino is something of a mixed bag! If you don’t mind signing up to an online casino just to take a bit of a peek around, then sign up with Wixstars Casino and share with us how you found the experience.
