VIKS Casino in a nutshell
Fresh for 2016, VIKS Casino is a new venture from EveryMatrix Software Ltd, a company based in Malta. We’ve reviewed many other casinos here at RightCasino.com that are provided by EveryMatrix – GUTS and JetBull to name but two – and generally we are very much in favour of what we find at them.
We’re not quite sure what VIKS stands for, and it is a rather odd choice of name. There’s no info about this at the site – not that we could find anywhere – so your guess is as good as ours. It says it is “a creation by iGaming veterans who have decided to innovate and not to follow”, which sounds good to us, but what evidence will we find to back this up?
So, will it be a ‘Very Impressive Kasino Site’, or a ‘Vehemently Intolerable Kasino Sin’ ? Keep on reading to find out …
What’s the look and feel of VIKS Casino?
The design of VIKS casino is thoroughly unlikely to win many awards for innovation either. It’s a minimalist affair – which is something we are always in favour of – but completely unspiring down to a dull black, white and blue colour scheme. If VIKS Casino were more interested in innovation they should have looked at truly innovative online casinos such as Casumo and Thrills.
What games are available at VIKS Casino?
VIKS Casino is heavy on slots. In fact, there are over 500 of them. Yes – you read that right, FIVE HUNDRED ONLINE SLOTS! Basically, virtually every decent slots game there is, you are more than likely to find it here.
Table games don’t reach those heights in terms of numbers, but there is still a total of sixty-four. Unfortunately, they are all lumped together under the ‘table games’ tab which makes finding the right game a little more awkward than it ought to be. The totals are blackjack (22), roulette (18), casino poker (13), baccarat (9) plus ‘Red Dog’ and ‘Beat Me’.
Video poker is particularly hot here with thirty-three different versions.
There also one scratch card (‘Pharoah’s Gems’) and some ‘arcade’ games.
VIKS Casino provides a live casino wih eight roulette tables, seven blackjack tables and a single casino hold’em table.
Software here is provided by a whole calvalcade of providers: NetEnt, Microgaming, Evolution Gaming (who provide the live casino opportunities), NYX/NextGen Gaming, Play n’ GO, IGT and Edict (Merkir Gaming).
VIKS Casino does have a mobile-optimised site for Android and iPhone owners. In fact we have to confess we think the mobile site looks better than the desktop one!
Support is available 24/7, and we have so say we were satisfied when we used it.
What promotions are available at VIKS Casino?
Viks Casino have given us an exclusive offer just for our visitors and it’s a big one!
All brand new players to Viks Casino can benefit from one hundred percent bonus up to a maximum of £1,000 plus 15 free spins and 10 Mega Spins. To grab this offer, you simply need to make a deposit of at least £20 once you’ve signed up at VIKS Casino.
The terms associated with this bonus offer are pretty good too. Firstly, the bonus money and deposit money has to be turned over a minimum of thirty times before you’re allowed to ask for a withdrawal of funds. Secondly, you can use slots games only to meet your wagering requirements.
You have twenty-one days from the award of your bonus to fulfill your requirements, else your bonus is forfeited. The maximum bet while you have a bonus pending or are actively fulfilling wagering requirements is £5.
There’s a weekly reload bonus available at VIKS Casino too. Even Sunday you can claim a fifty percent reload bonus up to £50.
There was only one other promo we could find at the site, although it was a pretty decent one – a chance to win a trip to the world’s traditional gambling haven, Las Vegas.
We could find no evidence at the site that VIKS Casino runs a VIP scheme, but this may well be an invite only.
One thing that VIKS Casino seems really to have gone to town on are the payment options that are available. Naturally, Visa and MasterCard debit and credit cards are available, but so are a huge number of alternative financial services providers: Skrill, Neteller, Paysafecard/Ukash, Euteller, Instadebit, ecoPayz and Nordea, to name but six.
The minimum amount per deposit is £10 (£20 for ecoPayz, Instadebit, GiroPay, POLi, Sofortüberweisung, and bank transfers), and all deposits are enacted instantly aside from bank transfers which take three to five days. The maximum is £5,000 (£10,000 for ecoPayz, euTeller or bank transfers).
The minimum withdrawal is £30 (£50 for Instadebit and bank transfers) and the maximum is £10,000 (£5,000 for Visa, Skrill and Neteller). The site claims that withdrawals are processed instantly, whereas debit and credit card transactions take one to three days, and bank transfers three to five days).
There is a two percent fee applied to withdrawals (min £1, max £10) beyond your first withdrawal of the month.
The final verdict
We can’t say there’s much about VIKS Casino that we find innovative, despite what the casino itself claims. It’s a very common and very ‘traditional’ casino template. There are plenty of other casino sites that can truly claim to be innovative.
The biggest selling point for VIKS Casino though is the number of games, and especially the number of slots. Five hundred slots should be enough to keep even the most demanding slots participant happy. Other plusses include the amount of payment options available. We don’t approve of a two percent withdrawal fee though, although if you limit yourself to one withdrawal a month you won’t be liable to pay.
In summary a thumbs up for VIKS Casino, just with a couple of slight caveats as mentioned above.
