Secret Slots in a nutshell
Secret Slots is a fresh-looking slots-heavy casino that hopes no doubt not to be a secret for much longer. This is a Cassava Enterprises site with Gibraltar and UK licences. Cassava added to their casinos portfolio in February 2015 with this site – a portfolio that already contains the gambling giants 888.com.
One of this site’s secrets is that it contains more than slots, although at first glance there doesn’t seem that much more. There are also plenty of promos including a chance to somersault up the ‘Secret Slots Spins League’.
Will this site be one you’ll be keeping to yourself, or shouting to all your friends about?
What’s the look and feel of Secret Slots?
Despite being a 2015 release Secret Slots doesn’t really look all that contemporary. It’s another site that follows a pretty standard casino template design that punters will have seen many dozens of times before. We always like to see a casino that innovates, but there’s very little innovation here, aside perhaps for that Secret Slots Spins League.
What games are available at Secret Slots?
Despite the name ‘Secret Slots’ you’d be right in thinking it’s no secret slots are in the majority here. We can spot some of our favourite slots here – we always make no secret that we enjoy a few spins on Gonzo’s Quest, Wonky Wabbits and Tornado: Farm Escape. There are some slots here like Millionaire Genie and Piggy Payout with progressive jackpots.
We didn’t see much to excite us when it came to table games – five versions of roulette (not including the two live casino versions) and only a single version apiece of blackjack and baccarat.
There’s no video poker at all, but you do get five scratch cards and a tiddly selection of ‘instant win’ games.
Nearly all of the best games at Secret Slots comes via one of our favourite software providers, NetEnt. The other games simply aren’t up to NetEnt’s standards.
On a more positive note, Secret Slots has made sure it has embraced mobile tech. Nearly all of the games work on any mobile device – including Windows Phones and BlackBerrys. The mobile version of the game is an HTML5 site, so there’s no need for a downloadable app.
We’re alarmed that the casino seems to have no contact details nor player support functions whatsoever.
What promotions are available at Secret Slots?
One thing Secret Slots doesn’t keep secret is the 100 percent welcome bonus it offers. This bonus is, however, only open to UK residents.
The bonus is a 100 percent match deposit bonus up to a rather measly £25. The minimum amount you need to deposit to qualify for the bonus is £10, and you only have 14 days in which to meet bonus conditions before the bonus expires. Make sure you use the bonus code PLAYNOW when you make your qualifying deposit.
You have to wager the bonus amount 30x before you can cash it out. You can only start wagering with your bonus funds once you’ve exhausted all your deposited cash.
Secret Slots has a policy that we at RightCasino.com absolutely despise. While saying wagering requirements are 30x, no games actually contribute fully to the requirements. The biggest contributors are slots, scratch cards, keno and arcade games at 90%. Hi-lo games are 50%, Roulette 10% and blackjack and video poker 5%. This makes the true wagering requirements 33x if using slots. We simply wish casinos who do this would not.
The casino runs a few other regular promotions including weekly reload bonuses and cashback. You also earn a £10 bonus for referring a friend.
The Secret Slots Spins League is quite a nice idea although it may encourage people to spend too much in order to top the leaderboard. The league period lasts for a month and the more you win on slots, the higher up the table you’ll climb. Finish in pole position at the end of the month and you win £1,000 in bonus cash plus 100 freebie spins.
The VIP scheme here is known as ‘Rewards’ and like most VIP schemes the more you wager, the more you benefit. You need to wager at least £5,000 to reach ‘Confidential’ level, and the top two tiers are by invitation only.
Another secret let out of the bag – the site accepts Visa and MasterCards but acually says very clearly on the banking page: “We prefer Visa”. Also available are eWallet solutions PayPal (Austria, Finland, Ireland, UK, Portugal, Spain, Italy and Sweden only), Neteller, Ukash, Paysafecard and the virtual credit card Entropay. You can also pay by bank transfer and phone.
Another black mark for this casino – withdrawal limits of £10,000 a day, £15,000 a week and £25,000 a month. The minimum withdrawal is £30. Withdrawals take at least three days and up to a week for credit and debit cards, which is not good at all.
The final verdict
If you’ve read the entirety of this review then it’s probably no secret that we’re not jumping with joy upon reviewing Secret Slots. There are things we do like, such as the presence of NetEnt and the Slots Leaderboard, but we don’t like the secret additional wagering requirements, the withdrawal limits and the lack of games beyond slots. The complete lack of contact info and support functions is another sin.
