Kerching Casino in a nutshell
Kerching Casino (or Kerching! Casino, to give it its proper title) is an online casino owned and fuelled by Nektan Limited Casinos. Nektan is famed for its mobile casino expertise, but Kerching Casino is very much desktop-focused although an update in January 2015 made sure the site was mobile-optimized.
Kerching Casino began life as part of the Million-2-1 gambling portal in 2007, which was bought by IGT in 2008. This enabled Kerching Casino to bring plenty of IGT’s top slots to the site. IGT merged Million-2-1 and WagerWorks in 2012. In 2014 Kerching Casino was bought by ‘Kerching Gibraltar Limited’, whom are powered by Nektan.
We assume that ‘Kerching’ gets its name from the sound of coins hitting the payout tray when you play real-world slots. This casino has failed to replicate that enticing noise here, but you can still win cash. Will you be hearing ‘Kerching’ in your head when you play here? Read on to find out.
What’s the look and feel of Kerching Casino?
Despite being a desktop site, the design used here is simply Nektan’s mobile template that works on PCs, laptops, smart phones and tablets. This design is okay for mobile devices, but it’s a little spartan for desktops. It’s fairly easy to use, although being designed for mobile, it doesn’t exactly go overboard on textual content. Most info you need is available if you search hard enough.
What games are available at Kerching Casino?
The games at Kerching Casino are mainly provided by IGT and NextGen Gaming. There are a few games by Nektan as well, but the less said about them the better.
The casino really loves its slots. There are around one hundred in total. If you’re looking for the slots that we – in our humble opinion – consider to be the best, then we suggest you give Foxin’ Wins Again, Merlin’s Millions and Double Diamond the benefit of your coinage.
Beyond slots, you’re kind of stuck. There is one very mundane version of blackjack, and one equally unthrilling version of roulette.
Video poker is a little better served, with IGT’s ‘Ultimate X Poker’ in single-handed, three-handed and ten-handed play. This game is actually nine video poker games in one, with nine varities of video poker from Jacks or Better to Joker Poker available. All versions come with entertaining bonus factors too.
Software is provided by IGT, NextGen Gaming and Nektan.
The site works on all channels, from small mobiles to large laptops.
There is no live casino, nor any live support.
What promotions are available at Kerching Casino?
The first potential ‘Kerching!’ comes with Kerching Casino’s welcome bonuses. The first deposit bonus seems amazing on the surface – you will get a 100% match up to £50. There are two further deposit bonuses available – a one hundred percent match deposit bonus up to £150 for your second deposit, and a 150% match deposit bonus up to £300 on your third.
We expected to find that this big bonus was a sticky bonus, but that does not appear to be the case. What is true though is the following:
- The minimum deposit required for any deposit bonus is £5
- The wagering requirements are 50x the value of the bonus and deposit
- Wagers on blackjack and roulette do not count towards wagering requirements
- The most you can win from any bonus is 4x the value of the bonus amount
Oh well … those conditions aren’t terrible, but they are still enough to take the gloss of any bonus, no matter the size!
These three bonuses also seem to be the only bonuses or promotions that Kerching Casino provides.
The site does run a VIP scheme. It runs in three tiers and is free to all members. The higher up the scheme you rise, the greater the benefits, as you’d expect. The three tiers are ‘VIP’, ‘Premier’ and ‘Elite’, and the benefits include everything to exclusive welcome and birthday bonuses, to VIP hospitality events.
Banking options are limited to credit and debt card, Skrill and Paysafecard (as Ukash). Your minimum deposit is a nice and tight £5, and the maximum is £10,000 per day – higher deposit limits are available for VIPs.
Withdrawals can be made to Skrill and Visa debit or credit cards. The minimum withdrawal is £10, and the maximum is £10,000 per day. You can only make one withdrawal per day.
There’s a pending period of up to 72 hours. Skrill withdrawals take 24 hours on top of that, while debit or credit card transactions take between three and five days.
The final verdict
Kerching Casino is a definitely step up from Nektan’s usual, mobile-only offerings. This is mainly thanks to the presence of IGT, whom are usually absent from Nektan-powered casinos.
Having said that, the lack of games beyond slots here is a bit of a joke, and the 50x WRs on the welcome bonuses is another significant blow.
There some fair wares on offer here, but just not enough.
That’s our opinion, but what do you think? Why not try your luck at Kerching Casino and tell us how you get on?
