Dazzle Casino in a nutshell
Dazzle Casino is vibrant gambling site turning heads in 2015 with its mobile product. If you have an Android-powered or Apple-flavoured smartphone or tablet, you can expect a trim and tidy casino.
Dazzle is fuelled purely by Microgaming software. It operates under Maltese and UK licences, and is happy to accept players from some restricted jurisdictions like Spain, but not others such as Italy, France and the US.
Dazzle Casino looks great at first glance, but will we still be dazzled when we delve a little deeper? Read on the find out …
What’s the look and feel of Dazzle Casino?
Dazzle does look nice for an online casino that adheres to the typical online casino template. It’s nothing really to get excited about though, and there’s definitely nothing innovative about the design. ‘It does what is says on the tin’. One thing we didn’t like is that you have to sign up with Dazzle even if you just want to try the games for free.
What games are available at Dazzle Casino?
All the games at Dazzle Casino are provided by Microgaming, who have been in the casino software business longer than anyone else. We did notice the odd ‘guest star’ among the games provided, such as Foxin’ Wins which is one of NextGen’s best games.
Most of the slots available at Dazzle belong at the traditional end of the market, rather than those fancy old ‘3D Video Slots’ that now seem all the rage. If you do like slots with a little more bite, check out Jurassic Park here.
There are only two dozen casino games available, and only baccarat, blackjack, roulette, casino poker and video poker are covered.
The ‘jackpot games’ section contains slots with progressive jackpots such as Thunderstruck II and Immortal Romance. There’s also over thirty online scratch cards.
Live casino fans can play baccarat, blackjack and roulette here with live dealers.
The site repeatedly states that it is ‘powered by Microgaming ‘ but that doesn’t explain why Foxin’ Wins makes an appearance, but then foxes are cunning. There are no other ‘guest’ providers… none that we could spot anyhow.
A selection of the games are available via the mobile casino – thirty-four in total but all slots. Dazzle Casino says it will be “adding more of our great games to the current line-up very shortly.”
All desktop games are browser-based, so no separate download is required.
What promotions are available at Dazzle Casino?
Beginners will be dazzled by the first deposit bonus offer of a free £/$/€200. Any initial deposit from £/$/€10 up to the maximum of £/$/€200 is doubled so you receive the same amount in lovely bonus cash.
Time to put on the dark glasses and scrutinise those bonus T&Cs …
… oh. Your bonus cash remains bonus cash no matter what you do with it – it can NEVER be cashed out. Also, any winnings you make using the bonus cash must be wagered FIFTY times before you can cash it out. As far as wagering requirements go, these are pretty disappointing.
Some jurisdictions need to wager 100 times the bonus, but the details are not available on the Dazzle site – you have to email Dazzle Casino for that rather crucial bit of information.
You have ninety days to meet your WRs, and game weightings are as follows:
Video poker: 5%
Baccarat, blackjack, roulette, casino poker: 10%
All other games: 100%
The better news from Dazzle is that they have a number of other promotions available at all times, such as free spins on a daily basis, and bonuses if you earn enough VIP points during a certain period of time.
You earn one VIP point for every £/$/€16 you wager at the casino. There are five tiers to the VIP scheme, from bronze to diamond. To reach diamond, you need at least 10,000 points. The higher up the scale you fly, the better the benefits you receive.
You can use a range of plastic to fund your gambling at Dazzle Casino, including Visa, MasterCard, Diners Club and Discover. Also available are Neteller, Skrill, Ukash and iDeal. The minimum deposit amount varies depending on the payment method used, but generally it’s £/$/€5. The maximum is £/$/€2,500.
Withdrawal times are disappointingly slow, with Neteller and Skrill being the quickest at five business days. Credit and debit cards are even more tortoise-like at ten business days, and personal cheques can take as long as a month. There’s a minimum withdrawal of £/$/€20, and limits of £/$/€1,500 a week and £/$/€3,000 a month, except in the case of progressive jackpot wins.
The final verdict
You’ll probably be familiar with the phrase ‘all that glitters is not gold’, well we can add ‘all that dazzles is not diamond’. There’s quite a bit we like at Dazzle Casino – the design, Microgaming and frequent promos – but there are some serious drawbacks, such as slow withdrawal times and stingy wagering requirements.
If you like Microgaming slots – and who doesn’t? – then Dazzle Casino is worth a punt. We just think a little polish is needed before this casino truly dazzles.
