Cloud Casino in a nutshell
Cloud Casino is a further addition to Nektan (Gibraltar) Ltd’s ever-expanding portfolio of online casinos. Founded in 2011, Nektan have been providing B2B online gambling solutions to countless online casinos ever since. Among the names that fall under the Nektan umbrella are Kerching Casino, Northern Lights Casino and Spin Princess Casino.
Despite now having nearly two dozen casinos under the Nektan banner, the range of casinos offered by Nektan do come in for some common criticisms. The main criticism is the lack of games beyond slots – casino games such as baccarat, casino poker and video poker. Other common complaints concern the lack of a live casino, and no live support.
So, will your head be in the clouds after a few big wins at the Cloud Casino? Or will the gambling clouds above you be gloomy and grey? Keep on reading to find out!
What’s the look and feel of Cloud Casino?
In all honesty, Nektan-powered casinos are not an inspiring sight. it’s a very basic design that’s more than a little behind the times in comparison to the efforts of Casumo, Casino Room or Thrills. In short, if you do come to a Nektan-built casino, don’t expect to be overawed by its terrific good looks.
Cloud Casino’s design looks a little dated, with a background that could use a revamp, but it’s easy to use and everything is within close reach
A makeover wouldn’t go amiss at Cloud Casino
What games are available at Cloud Casino?
There’s no getting away from saying this – Cloud Casino is unbelievably slots-heavy. In fact there is virtually nothing but slots here. That’s okay if you’re a slotty fan, but not so good if you prefer casino games.
The good news for slots fans is that among the providers at Cloud Casino are NetEnt and NextGen Gaming. This allows you access to some of the finest slots in the business, including Aloha! Cluster Pays, Flowers and the ever-charming Gonzo’s Quest.
Beyond slots you’re in the casino games desert. There are only two versions of blackjack, one version of roulette, and nine scratch cards. Don’t be fooled by the ‘other games’ tab on the menu – that just gives you a list of a few slots games.
No live casino here, nor video poker, baccarat, casino poker or craps.
Software at the site is provided by NetEnt, NextGen Gaming, and Nektan themselves.
As usual for a Nektan-powered casino, there’s no live casino, nor any live support.
On positive though – the site works well on mobile platforms, especially tablets.
Can I play at Cloud Casino on mobile?
Like its sister casino Chomp, Cloud Casino really comes into its own on mobile. A straightforward layout and easy access to games, this is clearly a site built for mobile.
What promotions are available at Cloud Casino?
The site runs a few other promotions. These include a weekly deal where you are awarded ten free spins on NetEnt’s popular Starburst slot if you make a £10 deposit. You can also take advantage of a weekly deposit bonus – make a deposit of between £10 and £25 and the casino will match it with the same amount in bonus cash.
There’s a VIP scheme at Cloud Casino, but it’s by invitation only. If you are lucky enough to be asked to join, then you’ll receive access to plenty of VIP goodness. VIPs at this online casino get a personal VIP manager, exclusive support, special bonuses and cashback, and access to VIP-only prize draws and promotions.
For extra convenience, Cloud Casino is one of those rare breeds of casino where you can use your mobile phone bill as a payment method. Simply follow the instructions provided at the casino, and your deposit will appear on your next bill – this of course will not work if you have a PAYG account.
Other payment methods are available – including Visa and MasterCard debit and credit cards, Paysafecard (still called Ukash at the site), Skrill and Neteller. The site says it hopes to offer PayPal as a payment option soon as well. The minimum deposit accepted is £10, and the maximum is £10,000 per day – Skrill and Neteller only. The maximum payment for cards is £2,500 per day.
You can withdraw via most of the same methods, although not by your phone bill – you’ll be sent a cheque instead. The minimum accepted withdrawal is £10, and the maximums are £20,000 per week (cards) or £10,000 per day (eWallets). The site says that it will process all withdrawals within two to three working days.
Does Cloud Casino have a VIP Programme or Loyalty Scheme?
VIP players will be contacted by Cloud Casino to invite them to the special VIP scheme. Perks include higher withdrawal limits, exclusive bonuses and promotions and more.
What are the pros & cons of Cloud Casino?
Cloud Casino may not be the most refined casino site in town but it does the job it’s meant to admirably. It shines on mobile and while it could do with a visual overhaul, there’s nothing inherently wrong with this one.
- Try slots with a £5 no-deposit bonus
- £500 in deposit bonuses available
- VIP scheme - but by invitation only
- No live support, and no live casino
- Only three (yes ... three!) casino games (i.e. not slots)
- Casino design is not exactly inspirational
The final verdict
What we have here is a fairly typical Nektan-powered online casino. They are all pretty same-y, but some are better than others. We’d have to say that we’d place Cloud Casino at the upper end of this scale.
Unfortunately, that’s still not enough for us to really get excited about what’s on offer here. The usual suspects count against it – hardly any casino games, no live casino, and no live support. These are additions that Nektan is just going to have to make, and sooner, rather than later.
