Casino Land in a nutshell
Casino Land is a snazzy-looking online casino operated by MT SecureTrade Limited, a company based in Ta’ Xblex, Malta. MT SecureTrade also run the very fine Guts and BetSpin casinos. They operate using a licence issued by the Malta Gaming Authority, and have applied for one from the UK Gambling Commission.
The UK version of Casino Land has a very fine-looking mascot – a bulldog who stands astride the world with one paw on a yellow dice with black spots (the dice, not the bulldog). Just for good measure Queen Elizabeth Tower (otherwise known as ‘Big Ben’) and Sir Antony Gormley’s Angle of the North make an appearance too. All very patriotic …
So, will Casino Land be a place you’ll want to frequent, or one you’ll drive past very quickly with your windows rolled up? Keep on reading to find out …
What’s the look and feel of Casino Land?
The architects at Casino Land have done a pretty decent job. We like unfussy sites here at RightCasino.com, and at least Casino Land ticks that box. The colour scheme used has various shades of blue, and the site is not cluttered with text repeatedly offering mega bonus deals and VIP awards. We’re sad to see there are no gamification elements, but at least there seems to be some promise here.
Casino Land looks quite slick and we like its dark blue colour scheme. The filter options for games is very handy
Strangely, Casino Land has chosen to display all of its available games on the homepage, which means its quite a hike to get to the footer, where a lot of important info can be found.
What games are available at Casino Land?
Voyage to Casino Land and the first thing you’ll bump into will be an online slots game, of that there’s no doubt. There are almost two hundred of them, including ones with massive progressive jackpots such as The Dark Knight and Mega Moolah. The best online slots providers here are NetEnt and Microgaming, which means you’ll get access to classics such as Cosmic Fortune and Avalon (I & II).
Table games are a bit sparse here, it has to be said. There are only three versions of blackjack (if you discount the live blackjack tables), three versions of roulette, and two versions of baccarat. The non-slots line up is completed with six versions of video poker. That makes a total of twelve non-slots games, which just doesn’t cut it. Some sites have more versions alone of blackjack.
Those who ‘like it live’ can play baccarat, blackjack, roulette or casino hold’em.
The main bulk of the software is provided by Microgaming, NetEnt, NextGen Gaming and the up-and-coming Play’n GO. Backup is provided by some lesser-known names, including Quickspin, Thunderkick, Evolution Gaming and ELK.
The Casino Land site works fine on Android and iOS-powered devices.
Live support is available 24/7. We used it and found it a positive experience.
Can I play at Casino Land on mobile?
We think the mobile Casino Land is actually better than the desktop. They’ve thankfully done away with the infinite scroll feature (a huge hassle on a tiny screen) and added a menu button.
What promotions are available at Casino Land?
The big news at Casino Land is that an £800 bonus is on offer. We’re always a little skeptical about bonus offers of such dimensions, so we’re going to have to dig a little deeper for the facts about this one.
This bonus is split over the first four deposits you make at this casino, as follows:
- First deposit: 100% matched up to £200
- Second deposit: 50% matched up to £200
- Third deposit: 25% matched up to £200
- Fourth deposit: 25% matched up to £200
For each deposit, a minimum deposit of £20 needs to be made each time.
The wagering requirements are, as it happens, not too horrendous at all. All bonuses connected to the deposit bonus offer need to be wagered 40 (forty) times before the funds are available to be withdrawn, or used on other games.
If you live in one of the following countries then bad news, you ain’t getting your hands on no welcome bonus: Poland, Bulgaria, Greece, Hungary, Romania, Croatia, Ukraine, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Russia, Czech Republic, Portugal, Slovakia, Latvia and Thailand.
Before you get too excited by the user-friendly wagering requirements associated with this bonus, we must reveal that only video slots and ‘other games’ contribute one hundred percent to your bonus redemption. ‘Classic’ slots only count seventy-five percent, while all blackjack, roulette, table and live casino games do not contribute at all, as well as video poker games.
The following games cannot be played using a bonus balance: Blood Suckers, Devil’s Delight, Mega Joker, Robin Hood, Pearls of India, Tower Quest, Kings of Chicago, Jackpot 6000, Castle Builder, Dead or Alive, Champion of the Track, Scrooge and The Wish Master. If you play on any excluded game before meeting your wagering requirements you run the risk of your winnings being voided.
You have thirty days in which to make your wagering requirements, else your bonus is forfeited. The maximum bet you can make while meeting your wagering conditions is £5. You also cannot claim a welcome bonus if you deposit using Skrill or Neteller.
The only other bonus we could find running in Casino Land was a free spins offer, which runs every Tuesday. If you make a deposit of at least £50, then you will receive fifty free spins on a specific game. Free spins winnings are capped at £100, and you must use your free spins within seven days.
Casino Land does not run a VIP scheme.
New customers only. Opt-in required. 1st deposit bonus (DB) 100% up to £200. 2nd DB 50% up to £200, 3rd DB 25% up to £200, 4th DB 25% up to £200.
40x wagering, 30 days to complete wagering, game weighting and game restrictions apply. Max Bet with bonus funds £5. Neteller/Skrill deposits excluded, cash balance can be withdrawn at any time.
Your money is safe at Casinoland. You can whip out your credit card or debit card (Visa or Mastercard) to pay your way, or you can use a number of eWallet solutions, including Neteller, Skrill, ecoPayz or Paysafecard (incorporating Ukash).
The minimum deposit or withdrawal stands at £10. The maximum for both is £5,000.
There are no fees involved. The sites says that both deposits and withdrawals are transacted instantly, but in our experience withdrawals take at least twenty-four hours (eWallets) and three to five days (credit and debit cards).
Does Casino Land have a VIP Programme or Loyalty Scheme?
Casino Land doesn’t offer loyalty or VIP perks
What are the pros & cons of Casino Land?
Casino Land looks professional and organised. We don’t particularly like the fact that all the games are on the home page, though the filter and search options do help narrow things down.
The casino offers a great mobile experience but no loyalty scheme, which proves that no one is perfect.
- £800 in bonuses over your first four deposits
- 200 top slots games
- Lots of payment options, no fees and speedy processing times
- Enchanting site design
- A distinct lack of table games
- Only slots counts towards wagering requirements
The final verdict
We accept that Casino Land is a relatively new discovery, so things are perhaps still in the half-finished stage, although we can only mainly apply that to the disappointing array of table games that are available. A dozen games of all varieties is simply insufficient.
On the other hand there’s a lot that gets a thumbs up from us – the design, the live casino, the cashier options and the fact that both NetEnt and Microgaming slots are available. If they guys here could add a few more table games, then Casino Land could become a place we vacation too on a fairly regular basis.
