Casino-X in a nutshell
Casino-X is an online casino powered by the Curaçao-based company Pomadorro NV. Despite the title, rest assured that there is nothing risque about this online gambling portal. It’s one of four online casinos that Pomadorro owns – the others being Joy Casino, Frank Casino and Casino Mix. The company owns two poker sites too.
Casino-X is very much a multi-national and multi-lingual site with countless providers, payment methods, accepted currencies and language options. Unfortunately not everyone is accepted here. Due to licencing issue some nations – including France, Italy, the UK and the USA – will have to find somewhere else to deal.
So, does Casino-X hit the spot, or will our rating suggest you go elsewhere? Keep on reading to find out …
What’s the look and feel of Casino-X?
Casino-X has a very clear design, and for once the site does not seem to want to constantly brag about all the promotions, tournaments and bonuses it runs. It’s extremely easy to find your way around, even if you’ve left your compass at home. One thing we do like – the latest big winners are displayed at the bottom of the screen, so win big and there’s a chance you’ll see your name in lights!
What games are available at Casino-X?
We may have slight concerns over the bonus situation at Casino-X, but we have no concerns over the amount of games that are on offer. The site has most of the top casino software providers on board, including Microgaming and NextGen Gaming. That makes for plenty of slots including some of the very best games available, such as Thunderstruck II, Immortal Romance and the Dark Joker Rizes.
Table games have all been placed together in one section, which is something that always slightly annoys us to see. If you don’t mind hunting around, then you’ll be able to play mutliple versions of baccarat, blackjack and roulette.
Additionally you’ll find eight versions of video poker, and a handful of scratch cards and arcade-style games.
The live casino here has blackjack, baccarat, roulette and casino poker.
Software is provided by Microgaming, NextGen Gaming, Quickspin, Yggdrasil Gaming, Playson, Thunderkick, Elk Studios and Evolution Gaming.
Live support is 24/7 and live casino games are available.
The site works ‘well enough’ on mobile devices.
What promotions are available at Casino-X?
Players new to Casino-X are in line for a genuine bonus bonanza. Bonuses are available on the first FIVE deposits you make at the site.
For your first deposit bonus you have a choice. You can either take a two-hundred percent bonus up to $50, or a one hundred percent bonus up to €/$2,000. The rest of the bonus scheme is as follows:
- Second deposit: 100% up to €/$300
- Third deposit: 50% up to €/$400
- Fourth deposit: 50% up to €/$500
- Fifth deposit: 25% up to €/$750
That’s a combined total of nearly $4,000 in deposit bonuses that are available. In addition you get the choice of one of three gifts:
- Thirty free spins
- Double comp points
- Additional two percent cash back
Information concerning the bonuses is hard to come by. There appears to be nothing on the site whatsoever about wagering expectations. We asked support, who initially told us to go and look at the site. When we pointed out there was no info there, they eventually explained to us that the wagering expectations were 25x (bonus and deposit) for the first two bonuses, and 20x (bonus and deposit) for the next three. We’ve no idea where this information is on the site – if it is there at all.
Details about game contributions are on the site, thankfully. Blackjack, arcade games, video poker, baccarat, casino hold’em, 2-Ways Royal, craps and sic bo all contribute only five percent towards wagering expectations. Roulette count zero. All other games (mainly slots) count one hundred percent.
At the time of writing these deposit bonuses were the only bonuses being offered by Casino-X.
The site does run a VIP scheme but info about it is almost as hard to classify as bonus wagering requirements. Basically, you need to spend €/$50 on slots to earn one comp point, and €/$100 on blackjack, casino poker or video poker to earn one comp point. All other games at the site do not earn you comp points.
The VIP scheme has six tiers from novice to ‘Dark Knight’, and each subsequent tier is reached by earning sufficient comp points. At the lowest level you can convert comp points at a rate of 12:1, but at the higher levels this rises to 8:1. There does not seem to be any other benefits in relation to this scheme beside comp point conversion.
The site accepts a number of payment methods, including credit and debit cards, plus Skrill, Neteller, Paysafecard and a host of others. The site doesn’t seem to stipulate any minimum deposit limits, but the more you do deposit, the more you are subsequently able to deposit. All deposits are processed instantly.
Withdrawals must be at least €/$10, and you can withdraw to most of the same deposit methods. There are limits in place: €/$5,000 per day, €/$10,000 per week and €/$20,000 per month. When withdrawing, there’s a pending period of one to three days. After that your money should be in your bank account within a further two days (eWallets) and or up to five days (credit and debit cards).
The final verdict
Aside from the lack of transparent information about the bonuses, we do like what we see at Casino-X. We’ve no idea why they are so ‘coy’ about their wagering requirements as all the details we eventually managed to gain from their support team seem perfectly reasonable. They just need to be a little more upfront about it.
With a whole host of games from the top providers, a nicely uncluttered site and decent live support, Casino-X is a gambling portal that gets a thumbs up from us!
