Casino Bordeaux in a nutshell
Casino Bordeaux is a Gallic-flavoured online casino brought to you by Game Tech Group NV. The company Game Tech is based in Curaçao, and the site operates via a Curaçao eGaming licence. Game Tech run a number of online casinos. Cashpot Casino, OceanBets Casino and Madame Chance casino are three of the most popular.
France is famous for gambling of course, but that’s more Monte Carlo than Bordeaux. Bordeaux is famous for its fabulously fruity red wine, and its iconic landmarks. Taking centre stage at the Casino Bordeaux is an image of the Place de la Bourse (Palace Royale), complete with the equally famous ‘water mirror’.
So, will you win enough to wine and dine your significant other at Casino Bordeaux, or will you w(h)ine about your experience here? Why not read on to find out …
What’s the look and feel of Casino Bordeaux?
Aside from the lovely picture of the ‘Palace Royale’, Casino Bordeaux follows a fairly typical casino design template. The menus along the top will point you to wherever it is that you want to go. We suggest you ignore the ‘Download’ option. Not only is there no need to download this casino, when we clicked on the link (and we tried several times) nothing happened!
All games are selectable via large thumbails, and you can choose the type of game you want to play by selecting the ‘game catergory’ drop down menu.
Casino Bordeaux’s colour scheme is clearly inspired by its namesake, with a wine and black theme. Navigation is straightforward.
The site can be considered a little bit boring – there doesn’t seem to be anything dynamic happening at all.
What games are available at Casino Bordeaux?
You can hardly go wrong with slots at Casino Bordeaux – three of the biggest names in the business are available here for your slotting pleasure, namely Betsoft, NetEnt and NextGen Gaming. You’ll be able to play some classic titles here, including Gorilla Go Wild, Foxin’ Wins and The Slotfather.
Not everyone is a slotting fan, so away from the slots you’ll be able to play roulette, blackjack, casino poker, video poker, scratch cards and arcade-style games such as keno and the football simulator Europa League.
There’s a live casino here too. There are well over a dozen tables available where you can play baccarat, blackjack, roulette or casino poker.
Software here is provided by NetEnt, Betsoft, NextGen Gaming, Amaya, 1X2 Gaming, ELK Studios, Lightning Box and Thunderkick.
Live support is available 24/7, and as mentioned above, live casino games are available.
There’s a really nice mobile version of this site for smart phones and tablets – in fact we’d even go as far as saying that the mobile version looks nicer than the desktop one!
Can I play at Casino Bordeaux on mobile?
The mobile version of this game performs well in-browser and offers all the features of the desktop site.
What promotions are available at Casino Bordeaux?
You won’t be moaning about le grande welcome bonuses that are available here – a matched deposit bonus schedule that’s worth up to an amazing €3,000! Sacré bleu!
The welcome bonus schedule runs as follows:
- 1st deposit bonus – 400% up to €800
- 2nd deposit bonus – 150% up to €1,000
- 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th deposit bonuses – 100% up to €300
Note that all deposit bonuses beyond the first two are paid out every Sunday during the first four weeks of your membership at the casino.
You have to agree – that’s a pretty generous treat for new players. How can Casino Bordeaux afford this? Part of the answer comes from the fact that all these bonuses are ‘sticky’ – they can never be cashed out. However, you are free to cash out any winnings you might make via these bonuses, once you have completed the wagering requirements.
Before you can cash out you need to place wagers totalling twenty times the value of your deposit and bonus (unless you are in Greece or the Lebanon in which case those wagering expectations are upped to forty times). You can only use slots to meet your wagering expectations – if you play any other games all bonuses and winnings accrued will be voided. ‘Double up’ features on slots are also excluded from wagering requirements.
To be awarded a bonus you must deposit at least €20 when claiming it. You cannot win more than ten times the value of your first deposit via a welcome bonus, and you cannot claim any subsequent bonus until you have used the previous bonus and withdrawn any winnings.
Casino Bordeaux loves you to use the mobile version of its casino – so much so in fact that it’s prepared to offer you a bonus to do so. Just contact the live chat via the mobile app to see the offers that are available.
There’s a VIP club at this casino, but it is by invitation only. You’ll just to have to wait and see if an invite turns up in your casino inbox. Top level VIPs receive the services of a personal account manager, select promos, bonuses and prizes, faster withdrawals and a higher comp point conversion rate.
You’ll have no issues getting money into your account at Casino Bordeaux. The site accepts a large number of payment options, including Visa and MasterCard credit and debit cards. If you prefer eWallets, then that is not a problem – Skrill, Neteller and Paysafecard are all accepted here, as are Sofort, Clickandbuy and ecoPayz.
The minimum deposit that the casino will accept is €20. There are no fees for depositing, and all deposits are processed darned swiftly.
You have options to withdraw to credit or debit cards, Skrill or Neteller. There is a rather ridiculously high minimum withdrawal amount of €100 to contend with, and you cannot withdraw more than €5,000 per thirty day period. The site will aim to process all business requests within five business days, but withdrawals made via eWallets are typically processed much faster.
Does Casino Bordeaux have a VIP Programme or Loyalty Scheme?
The VIP club is invite-only but the casino offers some detail on the perks available. These include account management, exclusive promotions, faster withdrawals and others.
What are the pros & cons of Casino Bordeaux?
Casino Bordeaux holds an operating license from Curacao, which is not as prestigious as other licensing authorities. The site can appear a little boring though the colour scheme does lend a certain luxury to the experience.
- Great range of games from Betsoft, NetEnt and more
- €3,000 in welcome bonuses
- 400% first deposit bonus up to €800
- Excellent mobile site
- Minimum withdrawal limit of €100 is too high
- Bonuses are 'sticky'
The final verdict
It’s a little tough to know what to think about Casino Bordeaux. Okay, so those bonuses might be huge, but they are sticky too. They give you a great chance of winning some cash and getting the feel of the casino, but it would have been a lot better if you had the chance to grind them out and get some cash back before you unleash your own money.
That minimum withdrawal limit of €100 is far too high as well, but this is something that’s found across the board with Game Tech-powered casinos. We hope it’s a policy they are willing to change, and soon.
The positives here are the great range of games that are available (especially slots), and that good-looking mobile version of the site. If you like online casinos with a French motif, then Casino Bordeaux is one destination you might be looking to visit time and time again.
