BetBright Casino in a nutshell

BetBright Casino is the online casino that’s attached to the BetBright online sports book. BetBright is run by Dedsert (Ireland) Ltd, who are a Dublin-based company who were founded in 2012. They have risen over the past few years to challenge the stranglehold that Paddy Power and BoyleSports have over online gambling in Ireland.

This casino was launched late in 2014 as part of BetBright’s gambling portal that includes sports betting, live betting and a live casino. All Dedsert’s operations are governed by the UK Gambling Commission, which means that the BetBright Casino is only available to players in the UK and Ireland.

So, are you guaranteed a bright time at BetBright Casino, or will you have as much fun as a dull, muggy day in Dublin? Keep on reading to find out …

What’s the look and feel of BetBright Casino?

There’s nothing particularly innovative about the BetBright Casino site. The designers have obviously looked at the thousand or so other online casinos and thought – “ah, we’ll have a bit of that!”.

So, it’s menus down the side and along the top under the advertising banner, with the games as thumbnails below. Let’s not kid ourselves … we’ve seen it a thousand times before, haven’t we?

What games are available at BetBright Casino?

Games at BetBright are provided by a very tidy range of software companies, including NetEnt, Microgaming and NextGen Gaming. This means there’s a whole host of top slots, including EggOMatic, Football Star and Wonky Wabbits. We counted nearly four hundred slots in the main casino, and another sixty in the ‘Games’ section which seems to just feature NextGen Gaming software.

Blackjack fans will be in hit or stand heaven here, as there are an amazing thirty-two versions of the classic casino game available. Roulette is well-represented too with sixteen versions, while you will also find table poker, baccarat, craps and ‘Red Dog’.

There are twenty-eight varieties of video poker, but no scratch cards or ‘arcade’ games.

The live casino offered by BetBright Casino has blackjack, roulette, baccarat and table poker.

Software here is provided by Microgaming, NetEnt, NextGen Gaming, Nektan, 1X2Gaming, Genesis Gaming and ELK Studios. Most software is in the main casino section but NextGen Gaming’s stuff is in the ‘Games’ section, probably for licencing reasons.

Live support is available, from 8am until midnight, GMT.

The mobile version of the site is extremely nice.

What promotions are available at BetBright Casino?

BetBright Casino would not be an online casino worthy of the name if it did not offer a welcome bonus – and here the welcome bonus is a particularly tasty one. If you can afford to splash the cash, then you could be taking home £500 in bonus money!

This is a three-stage bonus as follows:

  • First deposit: 100% up to £300
  • Second deposit: 25% up to £100
  • Third deposit: 50% up to £100

This bonus deal is open to all new customers. All you need to do to claim your bonus cash is to open an account at BetBright Casino and make the necessary deposits. The minimum deposit you need to make each time in order to claim a bonus is £10, and you must complete your first deposit within seven days of completing your registration.

Your bonus must be played-through fifty times before it can be converted into real cash that you can withdraw. Sadly, only slots and keno count one hundred percent towards wagering requirements. Table poker games, roulette, video poker (except ‘All Aces’ and ‘Jacks or Better’) and blackjack (except ‘Classic Blackjack’) count eight percent. Everything else does not count anything towards wagering expectations.

At the time of this review BetBright were offering another couple of promotions. One was a ‘Euro 5 for 5’ promo where you could gain a £5 free bet if you played five spins of at least 50p each on five different slots games. The second was the nomination of the ‘Slot of the Week’ in which if you wagered at least £100 on a selected slot, you would receive a free £10 bonus.

The site was also running a VIP scheme that offered a free trip to Las Vegas for the person who topped the Leaderboard at the end of a designated period. Players could earn one point for every £50 staked at the casino. There were other prizes for leaders too – including £1,000 in cash, an iPhone 6s and bonuses of £100, £50 and £20.

If you prefer to do your gambling banking via an eWallet solution, then you’re fresh out of luck at BetBright Casino. The only payment methods accepted are Visa (including Visa Electron) and MasterCard (including Maestro). You can only register two cards at any one time, and the only accepted currency is GBP. Deposits are processed immediately.

You can only withdraw to debit and credit cards as well. Withdrawals will take between three and five business days to reach your account.

The final verdict

There’s only one main criticism we can put forwards about BetBright Casino, and that’s the lack of options when it comes to payment provision. Nearly all online casinos accept Skrill and Neteller as eWallet solutions at the very least, and an increasing number accept PayPal too. It’s pretty limiting that you can only use credit and debit cards here.

The positives? The high number of games available. That welcome bonus is not to be missed either, although both the wagering conditions and game contributions are not the best we’ve ever seen. Try as we might, we can’t find too much to delight us at the BetBright Casino.
